From WriterJoshua: “I wanted this to feel like being inside of a combustion engine, traveling hundreds of miles per hour. Modern vehicles, driven by luxury, have separated later generations form the raw power of the machinery that allows us to travel so efficiently, as a species. While I enjoy a comfortable ride as much as the next guy, I also find the physiology fascinating.

With the move to renewable energy, specifically electricity, moving out vehicles, I wanted to shine a light on the unappreciated aspects that most people probably take for granted. The way electricity, especially in computing, has revolutionized humanity is tremendous ways, I worry that younger generations missed the opportunity to truly value today’s technology. Even just a decade or two ago, the massive amounts of data we move on the internet, day to day, would have been staggering.

Like with the Country-lectro project, I want to encourage a connection to our past, as much as we embrace our future. Without the old, smoky vehicles, we may not have this EV revolution, let alone the mind-blowing microprocessor capabilities that exist, today. In a small way, I hope that tracks like this can help preserve a healthy perspective heading towards the future.”
